Welcome to The Spot! Officially known as the Graduate Student Lounge, The Spot's primary purpose (since 1993) is to provide a comfortable social environment for all Stony Brook graduate students; however faculty, staff, and other members of the Long Island community are also welcome . The Spot is the only local performance venue that regularly features live original music performances, theater, comedy, and film screenings during its operating schedule (Wednesday through Saturday).
