Hello World - The Day Tharpo's Blog Began!

I've decided to start my own blog! Hello World - first let me say that only bad clowns are scary...there is alot of talk in the world today about scary clowns, but these are usally from scary movies, horror movies, or just plain bad movies. It is a shame that clowns get such a bad rap, when they are supposed to bring smiles to people's faces. I have been an entertainer for over 20 years and I have only truly seen about 10 (teens or adults) really afraid of clowns. Most say they are afraid of clowns to get attention, however there are some who are truly afraid. In the younger group, the 1 - 3 year olds might be afraid because they don't know or understand what a clown is. I really think a good clown can win any age over and that is how it has been in my career 99.99999% of the time. (I can only think of 3 children in 20 years whom I didn't win over.) And that's what I have to say about that!!!!
I also want to say if you are a scary clown.....you need to stop being a clown or learn how to NOT be scary. I have nothing against any clown who wants to bring joy to people, but I don't believe it is right for people to hurt or scare others with clowning. On the bright side, I wishing everyone "A Colorful Day."

- Hi Tharpo, glad to see you've started blogging! You're right about the whole 'scary clowns' thing, it's mostly just misconceptions from watching television. I remember seeing a ScoobyDoo cartoon that cast the clown as the bad guy. Seemed out of character at the time, and still seems out of character when I think about it.
