Pedigree Software - Breeders Assistant
Description
We currently develop and market the "Breeders Assistant" pedigree software and related products. We got started in this because a long time ago we used to be Burmese cat breeders. We realised the benefits that quality computer software would have for breeders. We looked at what else was available on the market at that time and were rather disappointed. With encouragement from Rosie Alger, a well known breeder and judge of Burmese and Bengal cats in the UK, Breeders Assistant got started. That first version was launched back in 1996, and was initially available just for cats and ran under Windows 3.1.
In 2000 we completely revamped our product and launched a much enhanced version. For the first time Breeders Assistant was now available for many different animals including dogs, horses and small mammals.
In 2002 we released version 4, which added many new features including: new advanced genetic analysis, super-fast inbreeding calculations, new features in pedigrees such as calligraphic effects and decorative borders, show entry and litter registration forms, and general improvements in many areas. A particular focus with this release was including many features for American breeders - including special features for CFA and TICA (cats) and AKC and UKC (dogs).
