Telecom Cook Islands Ltd (TCI) is the sole provider of telecommunications in the Cook Islands. TCI is a private company owned by Telecom New Zealand (TNZ) Ltd (60%) and the Cook Islands Government (40%). In operation since July 1991, TCI provides local, national and international telecommunications as well as internet access on all islands except Suwarrow. Communications to Suwarrow is via HF radio. Telecom Cook Islands Ltd is committed to providing you the best value for your telecommunication services. We have a wide range of services that suit a diverse range of needs for both business and residential customers .
Our main office is located at the Telecom Centre in Avarua, Rarotonga, where we offer public telephone, fax, internet, directory and cashier services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We also offer some of these services at Telepost Shop at the CITC Shopping Centre complex, downtown Avarua, open 8am – 4pm Mon – Fri, Sat 8am – 12pm . All other Telecom services are available during normal business hours.
TCI employs approximately 100 staff in Marketing & Sales, Finance, Engineering Operations, Network Services, Telephone Services, Information Systems, Administration and Postal . CEO Stuart Davies has been at the helm of this leading Pacific telco since its conception.
