- Special Olympics Team Canada consists of 83 Special Olympics Athletes from across Canada who will be competing in the following sports at the 2007 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Shanghai, China, October 2 - 11, 2007; Rhythmic Gymnastics, Soccer, Softball, Swimming, 10 Pin Bowling, Powerlifting, and Athletics.
- Each and every Team Canada athlete qualified while at the 2006 Special Olympics National Summer Games in Brandon, Manitoba and has since been training hard with their home coaches in the hopes of achieving personal goals and personal bests, along with adding to their individual medal counts. The World Games are a pivotal part of the sport fabric for Special Olympics athletes and Team Canada will participate, along side 10,000 athletes, coaches and delegation members from more than 160 countries in Shanghai, China this October.
