Team Betta Electrical - based in inner city Brisbane, run by Triple Eight Race Engineering with primary backing from Betta Stores Limited - prides itself on being Brisbane's own V8 Supercar Team.
2004 allowed Triple Eight to set the foundations for the company's long-term involvement in Australian motorsport built on the back of consistent success in the UK with no less than twelve championship titles having been accumulated there in the British Touring Car Championship. Having developed a custom-built facility at Bowen Hills, they employ 35 people dedicated to the V8 Supercar Championship assault. As the Team enters into a second full year of racing, the engineers in Brisbane continue to work closely with Triple Eight Race Engineering staff in the UK making full use of the fully integrated design and manufacturing programmes that have been put in place linking the two facilities .
The company has already invested heavily in a state-of-the-art "LG Technical Centre" with the help of Betta Electrical and LG Electronics, and have further major investment and expansion plans for 2005. Ford Australia is also an invaluable partner in Team Betta Electrical's pursuit of the V8 Supercar Championship, providing technical as well as financial support.
