Description
Telemis is a spin-off of the Université catholique de Louvain (UCL) in Belgium. Thanks to its telecommunication and remote sensing Laboratory, the University developed core competencies in image processing (MPEG4 & 7, JPEG 2000), distributed applications (Java, Corba, XML) and security (smart card, Public Key Infrastructure). It became a privileged actor in numerous national and European projects (Fourth European FrameWork). The Laboratory also takes part in the development of international norms and standards (MPEG, IETF).
Our mission at Telemis is to finalise and market multimedia technological solutions based on three core competencies: transmission, image and security. Each one of these three blocks could be compared with raw material. Various combinations of these blocks, when they are associated for a particular application field (medical, publishing, etc.) constitute high technology products.
We develop complete solutions for specific application fields. By combining various technologies, we can offer reliable products with a real advantage.
