Title
Fishing Florida Keys
Description
Beautiful sunsets, turquoise water, the fresh clean smell of ocean air and the thrill of battling some of the fastest strongest sportfish in the world create a sportsman's paradise in the Florida Keys. Fiery sunsets reflect off the calm waters displaying a brilliance that could never be imagined. On top the water appears calm, but a savage world of survival exists underneath. The waters are teeming with sportfish and other sealife. Calm waters that explode with the fight of a hooked fish. Fishing in the Florida Keys is an experience of a lifetime.
The Florida Bay is approximately 30 square miles of scattered islands and a shallow water fish haven. It is the section of water between the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico just off the southern tip of Florida. This is where the backcountry fisherman resides. Tarpon, permit, snook, redfish, trout, snapper and a host of other exciting sportfish are stalked in these waters. The majority of the water in this area is less than 5 feet deep with maximum depths generally not exceeding 10 feet. The shallow depths allow light line anglers and fly fishermen excellent opportunity to offer their presentation in the "strike zone".
