I came to this website to register my hardware; instead, I have found everything but this--there being no icon for registration. Consequently, I am unimpressed and disappointed to have found myself wasting my time this way: It does not bode well with me.

Purpose of Site?

Greetings, I have made some contributions, but I have not found a clear description of exactly what the purpose and objectives are for AboutUs and what is appropriate content and not appropriate. Is it primarily or solely for the purposes of promoting Wikis or Wiki related sites? Is it OK to promote domains and sites which are not related to Wiki at all? Thanks. Charles F. Thanks for the question, we've tried to give a clear description of who we are and what we're trying to accomplish in our welcome area and the related pages, but I'm sure that could use some improvement. In short, even though we are wiki-heads, the site is much more general and it is fine to create content that is descriptive of any sites to which you have information. A factual presentation is preferred and will be more effective here than something which has a promotional feel. - Ray | talk 23:17, 20 May 2007 (PDT)
