- This was a dream project for me. To make a recording with Gary Nicholson was something we both have talked about for years! Some very significant sacrifices were made by all the folks involved; without those sacrifices, it could not have happened. Primarily, I would like to thank Gary and David Z. It was my honor and privilege to have them on board. Second, thanks to all my "Nashville Cats": Kenny, Michael, Steve, Kevin, Lynn, Tom and Jimmy Hall, for playin' so purty. To the writers, Tom Hambridge, Kenny Greenburg, Chuck Jones, Russell Smith, Mike Henderson, and Gary, truly the "nuts" and bolts of this record.
