Description
The Henrietta Szold Institute, the National Institute for Research in the Behavioral Sciences, is Israel's foremost planner of behavioral science intervention and training programs. The institute's primary specialization is education. Over the past five decades, the Institute, which was founded in 1941 by the renowned American Zionist, Henrietta Szold, has developed a large portfolio of research studies and training and intervention programs, many of which are fundamental to our understanding of Israeli education and society.
Services include compiling Israel's national matriculation examination questionnaires; translating and updating intelligent tests for children; administering lower secondary school placement tests; screening students for placement in special schools; administering the placement feedback system.
The Institute also operates a Behavioral Science Information Center, which is responsible for compiling information databases and providing social science information services to the public. The Center also houses a School for Information Skills and the Institute library.
