- The Synthetic Turf Council (STC) was formed to guide the selection, use, and maintenance of synthetic turf systems for sports field, golf, and landscape applications. The STC is a non-profit association dedicated to address the desire of the industry to enhance its quality reputation. It hopes to promote and earn support by developing documents that facilitate communication and good business practices between all parties to the synthetic turf systems including owners, selection teams, architects, designers, specifiers, consultants, testing laboratories, suppliers, manufacturers, installation and maintenance contractors, etc. Every attempt will be made to dispense information that is neutral, objective, and, where possible, validated by independent research, in serving the best interests of all the parties, particularly the user and owner.
