Shanxi Vocational Education College of Technology and business is a national fulltime ordinary high professional colleges by the provincial government and put into the records of the state ministry of Education. Located on the South WuCheng Road of Taiyuan, adjacent to Shanxi University, Shanxi University of Economy and Finance The institute covers an area of 600 chinese acres now, there are more than 4000 students. which has 3 teaching buildings, 6 students’ apartment buildings, bathing center, library with 200,000 books. The institute teaching facilities are complete basically as if computer center with mul---media classroom, electrical reading room, bi―controlled digital teaching system, digital listening room and all kinds of labs. The College has 4 departments, business, internet, administration and culture spreading, divided into 20majors, like the business administration, advertising art and design, and so on. The major advertising art and design is the provincial experimental major.
There are total 265 teaching staff, 114 full―time teachers and 186 Specially major teachers, among whom 25 are professors, 87 are vice―professors and 141 are lecturers, and 105 teachers have the abilities of both teaching and practicing. To promote international communication, the college has collaboration with many foreign universities in the U.S, the U.K, Australia, Switzerland, Singapore, and so on. In 2004, the college accepted 14 foreign students from Ukraine.
The college has been always insisting on the principles:? Students First, Moral Education First, Talent Training First and Serve the Society First. And Our teaching aim is to training qualified talent for the society. We lay particular emphasis on practice and teaching qualitity, In recent years, we set up 100 teaching and practicing bases, and employ 100 part―time and full―time teachers with the abilities of both teaching and practicing, having middle rank professional post. The college has long collaboration with about 500 enterprises to ensure the employment of our students. so 95�G of the students can graduate smoothly every year. Moral Education is the most important in education, as the Chinese saying goes .
