About Timesavers

In 1946, a local family began a credit retail business that sold mainly appliances. As the business grew, they realized a need for a less time consuming method for tracking customer accounts instead of the manual ledger cards that they were using. They also needed quicker access to financial information about their business in order to make better decisions. So, the family began developing their own computerized bookkeeping system.

In 1976, with their time saving system in place, the family branched out into the computer software world and began Timesavers. Their customer base was the small "Mom and Pop" shops that were tracking customer payments on ledger cards.

Timesavers began converting these shops from a manual ledger card system to the computerized accounting system they had developed. The system allowed business owners to track customer payments, calculate finance charges, and generate statements.
