Sutherlin Optical was founded in 1939 by H. Edward Sutherlin. He was president until 1969 when his son Ed L. Sutherlin assumed the reign. In 1991, the third generation, Steve, Mike and John Sutherlin took over the company and operate it presently.Today, Sutherlin Optical is a "State of the Art" Company with the most advanced computer aided manufacturing equipment available. We produce approximately 185,000 pair of lenses annually.
