The Supertarot website was set up after a fruitless search for information on the Golden Dawn system of Tarot. The paucity of information was surprising - people were either unwilling or, more likely, unable to divulge anything on the subject. Supertarot has evolved many times over the years, and now represents the concept that working with the combination of techniques of Tarot, Astrology and Magic will result in spiritual development. Hidden within these pages are powerful techniques of spiritual and self-development. Since the creator of Supertarot, Paul Hughes-Barlow, is not a member of any Masonic, Golden Dawn or other brotherhood, he is not under any oath not to reveal 'secrets', therefore any 'secrets' found as a result of study can be published. A good example is Tarot and the Magus, which started out as a book on the Opening the Key System of Tarot from the Golden Dawn, but during the writing process the Goetia and Liber 231 Spirits revealed themselves to the author, showing the way forward for contacting your Holy Guardian Angel without the need for difficult and dangerous rituals. About Paul Hughes-Barlow
Paul is the foremost expert on divination using the Tarot for mystical and magical purposes. He is a mystic and magician who has specialised in studying spiritual and magickal techniques for developing higher states of consciousness using the Tarot. The fruits of some of this work are found in his best-selling Tarot and the Magus, which explores divination, magical and spiritual techniques, based upon the Golden Dawn methods of the Opening of the Key Spread.
While the book was being written, a grimoire was revealed based upon the pairing of the Major arcana, starting with the Fool and Universe card, and working to the centre. The nature of this grimoire is still being revealed. During the writing process the Goetic spirits and the spirits of Liber 231 appeared unbidden, and they were keen to reveal some of their secrets for the book.
