Hello, my name is Derek Andrews, woodturner, and owner of Seafoam Woodturning Studio. I started the business in 1995 when I moved to Nova Scotia from England. Originally calleded Sunrise Woodcrafts, the business name was changed in 2004 to Seafoam Woodturning Studio.
I specialize in the production of high quality gifts. Working with a beautiful raw material, I appreciate the fine details of grain that nature has created, and take pains to ensure that this beauty is not hidden by poor workmanship.
The business is run from a studio adjacent to our home on the north shore of Nova Scotia. The gallery is now open throughout the year, but busiest during the summer months. Nova Scotia is a popular vacation destination, renowned for its hospitality, lobsters, warm bathing waters and great scenery.
