Title

Pure Canadian Maple Syrup, Manufacturer, Production, Recipes - Sugar Moon Farm, Nova Scotia Maple Products and Pancake House

Description

Native American name for the sugaring season, the month of freezing nights & warm days usually coinciding with March/April (also called Maple Moon).

Sugar Moon Farm began in 1973 as Boondock Maple Products, owned and operated by Bob Williams. In 1994, we commenced a 2-year apprenticeship learning the craft of maple sugaring. Today we are proud to continue the springtime tradition of making maple syrup over a wood-fired evaporator, fuelled with mountain hardwood.

Sugar Moon Farm is a working sugar maple farm and woodlot. We produce quality food in a manner that supports local agriculture and community, and respects land and water. To this end, we buy local, use a composting system for our public washrooms and employ draft horse power on our sugar maple farm.
