- The Phonathon is the Stuyvesant PA's only fundraising event, usually held in May. The money raised is used to support the school in many ways: upgrading computer facilities, maintaining networks and PC's, purchasing non-traditional textbooks, funding the Speech & Debate and the Math teams, supporting math and science research projects, supplying uniforms for the sports teams, the list goes on and on.
