Studios On The Square Gallery has been a fixture in Roanoke since 1991. In 2002, the Gallery moved “off the square” to its current location in the beautifully renovated, historic Angell Building. The gallery features 17 artist studios built around a two story sky-lit atrium. By combining an art gallery with working artists’ studios, the public can meet the artist, view the artistic process and become better educated about Art in general.

Studios On The Square Gallery features select fine art and handmade crafts produced by the hands of more than 300 artisans. Through the years, the Gallery has represented many well-known regional artists such as Joni Pienkowski, Maryann Harmon, Greg Osterhaus, Harriet Stokes, Martha Dillard, as well as many new, up-and-coming future winners. We carry the best in one-of-a-kind jewelry, pottery, glass, fiber, and wood. The work in the gallery is selected through a jury process that provides a choice of contemporary handmade work. We have made much of that work available online for your enjoyment.
