Among the festivals the ensemble has visited are the Delft Chamber Music Festival, the Internationales Streich Quartet Festival Dortmund, the Orlando Festival, the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, the Schwetzinger Festspiele and the Stratford Summer Music as well as festivals in Norway such as the Bergen International Festival, the Oslo Chamber Music Festival, the Risør Chamber Music Festival and the Stavanger International Chamber Music Festival.
The Quartet has a wide-ranging repertoire. Naturally, the ensemble's point of departure is in the classics, but its repertoire also includes works by contemporary composers. In according to this, the Oslo String Quartet is quite unique in its way to present self-arranged versions of popular tunes, - much to the appreciation of the audience.
Over the years nine recordings have been made. The two last ones were released on the German record label CPO in the fall of 2003. In addition, the Quartet has recently released a collection of popular tunes arranged for the quartet by their own cellist, Øystein Sonstad.
