About the author
Claire Bonney grew up in Watertown as a fifth-generation northern New Yorker. She graduated from St. Lawrence University and was awarded a Thomas E. Watson Travel Fellowship to study in Switzerland where she has lived since 1978. She obtained her doctorate in architectural history under Professor Stanislaus von Moos at the University of Zurich. As a teacher at the technical college in Burgdorf, she is able to put her enthusiasm for all periods of architectural history, from prehistoric to contemporary, to work. Dr. Bonney lives in Basel with her husband and daughter.
