Jerry and Jeff Stock started Stock Transportation in rural Ontario in 1958. During the next 42 years, the company grew to more than 2000 routes in Ontario, Nova Scotia, New York, Missouri, and Texas. Although National Express Corporation purchased Stock Transportation in July 2002, continues to provide transportation services to our customers in Canada as Stock Transportation. The United States operations became part of Durham School Services, the student transportation arm of National Express Corporation.
Our slogan "On The Journey of Learning" reflects our business philosophy - learning and safe transportation for children are our top priorities. The Journey of Learning is a way of life at Stock. Our success has been built on trusting relationships and our ability to chart a course for the future - together with our customers and employees.
Our history, structure and operational procedures provide a roadmap of the Stock organization. This model of organizational structure provides critical areas of strength and expertise for our customers in a company that is continually growing and is committed to the ongoing improvement of people and process.
