Description
The undergraduate programme in Economics and Business provides a solid foundation for further academic studies and practical applications in the workplace. Studying from the books and articles published in the late 90s under the guidance of an international faculty who apply learner-centred teaching strategies and the latest technologies, students have all the essential prerequisites for obtaining quality education for the 21st century.
The programme starts with a preparatory semester to allow students to acquire the study skills necessary to have successful academic performance. Over the duration of eight weeks, students learn to work in teams, read quickly, make public presentations, and write papers in English, as well as work with the course material in economics and business. Having set the rules for the game, students are offered four fundamental courses in Economics and five courses in Business.
After the first year students are recommended to have their first internship at governmental or non-profit organisations, and after the second year of studies students can choose an organisation or company to have an internship during which they can make up their plans for further specialisation courses and the thesis. To complete the programme, four specialisation courses are offered in Consulting, Economics/Finance, Entrepreneurship/Strategy, and Information Technology, and the specialisation courses lead students in the research period to develop and write the Bachelor Thesis.
