SRWA--Fishing Tournaments and Reports
Description
The Sherman Reservoir Walleye Association was started in 1994 in Memory of Rosalie A. Placzek. Rose enjoyed outdoor sports and good competition. Many of you had fished against and swapped fishing stories with Rose and Larry at many tournaments.
With the children grown up and out of the house, Larry and Rose, were spending much of their time together in the great outdoors. They had spent the falls fishing walleye and hunting deer. Their winters were spent ice fishing and in the spring, they would usually join Larry's brother for a good spring turkey hunt and catch a few early walleyes. Then during the summer, Larry and Rose would try to take their grandkids out in the boat to fish for crappie and walleye to help the kids "catch the fever" of the great outdoors.
Larry and Rose had just begun their tours of Walleye Tournaments and weren't doing too bad. With Larry driving the boat and Rose collecting the prize money and plaques, they were just getting use to their new found freedoms. Then in the fall of '94 an accident took Rose's life. The night we lost Rose, changed our lives forever.
