- Recognizing that a scale model shop didn't exist in the Louisville area, I started a part time business in a basement of friends house in 1987. Primarily concentrating on the scale model building hobby, I stocked the products that the serious model builder was looking for. My shop received a reputation of good customer service and fair prices and by 1991, I found myself doing my part time business full time! By 1996 the shop had well outgrown the basement and I moved it to our current location, Hike’s Point in the McMahan Plaza.
