My collecting roots go back to early childhood. I started my stamp collection in 1971 with the help of my dad (who collected as a child and still collects today) and my Columbian World's Fair collection in 1976. Unlike most "youth collectors" who abandoned the hobby when high school, college or "other interests" interfered, I continued collecting throughout my teenage and young adult years.
