SportsMapping, a Division of IntraSearch, Inc. (Centennial, CO) is a one-stop services and products source of solutions for developing, maintaining, managing and marketing golf courses, golf course real estate, resort properties and entertainment venues. Established In 2000, SportsMapping combines the aerial mapping and digital imaging expertise of IntraSearch (www.intrasearch.com) and its strategic industry partners with the professional services firm of GroundLinkx LLC, the developer of integrated GIS/GPS programs for golf course maintenance and resource management.
In 2002, GroundLinkx LLC (Littleton, CO) and SportsMapping entered into a partnering arrangement whereupon GroundLinkx is featured with and built over SportsMapping’s GPS-accurate, high-resolution aerial mapping and 3D topographic imagery. The flagship CourseVision golf course GIS program has been featured in several professional golf course industry publications for its cost-containment functionality at private clubs, resort and daily fee courses, and municipal layouts. The company continues to provide the United States Golf Association with its “EventVision” site-layout GIS program that commenced with the 2000 U.S. Open at Pebble Beach up to the most recent addition of Torrey Pines (2008 U.S. Open).
SportsMapping and its affiliates have a combined, professional services employee network of over fifty technical specialists, agents and representatives covering North America, Western Europe, Asia and Australia. Over 5,000 golf courses have been georeferenced and digitally mapped as a result of the combined services of SportsMapping, SportsMapping affiliated companies, and the ongoing SportsMappingUSA nationwide golf course mapping project.
