About Sportscarguides
Sportscarguides is an independent business established in June 2002 by two sports car enthusiasts and owners, dedicated to providing clear guidance to potential performance car buyers and sellers. We were the first UK company to provide this service. In addition to downloadable Guides of up to 20 pages, refreshed at least every 12 months, we provide a comprehensive Pre-Purchase Inspection service for your additional comfort. We are probably the largest independent inspector of Porsches in the UK, for instance.
We have no links to any of the manufacturers and therefore our Guides are open about the relative merits of some models and variants. Each Guide is comprehensive, covering all variants of the model for the UK and international markets e.g. cabriolets, Targas/Spiders, sports, special editions etc.
Most Guides have been produced in association with the relevant official Club - e.g. Ferrari Owners Club of Great Britain, MG Owners Club, BMW Car Club of Great Britain, MX-5 Owners Club etc.
The company creased trading in 2008 and its on-line buyers guides are now only available from Amazon as e-books. Its inspection business is now handled by www.carinspections.co.uk, run by one of its former Directors Mark Wibberley.
