Description
The Northwest SPokenword LAB is an intergenerational spokenword performance, resource, and outreach center dedicated to poetry, storytelling, conversation, devate, consciousness, and building community through shared experience of the spoken and written word.
SPLAB! seeks to facilitate community health and consciousness through literary events and by creating a setting in which people can speak truthfully and honestly and be honored for their life experience.
To work with at-risk youth to encourage positive youth development through mentoring, recognition, creativity and through establishment of a broad literary community.
