Shelly Kneupper Tucker paints pictures with words. She is a nationally known professional storyteller who spins yarns both literally and figuratively. Shelly began telling stories to children many years ago while spinning thread on her spinning wheel. She offers programs that include demonstrations of spinning and weaving along with the storytelling. But, more often than not she simply tells tales.
Shelly's stories can rock a festival tent with laughter or cause eigth grade boys to drop their tough facade and shed tears. The quality of Shelly's work has been recognized by the Texas Commission on the Arts. She has been chosen for the Texas Touring Artist Roster since 1997. With a client base of more than 300 schools and libraries, she is in regular demand throughout the school year.
