Boelo van der Pool and Mª Angeles Abá Ruiz founded Babel idioma y cultura in 1999. Since then, we have offered English and German courses to Spanish students and since 2001, Spanish courses to foreign students from all over the world.
We believe that the success of a language course does not only depend on the quality of teaching, although it is the key point of our service, but also on a friendly and helpful atmosphere, useful information (both before, during and after the course), professional organisation and, of course, excellent accommodation for each student.
Boelo van der Pool was born in the Netherlands, where he studied Business at Nyenrode University. After finishing his university studies he spent one year in Asia and then moved to Spain to study Spanish. After 3 months of study, he started working for a language school and since then, has worked as office assistant at schools in Spain, as school manager in the UK and marketing manager for a language school in Germany, before moving back to Spain to set up Babel idioma y cultura. Boelo is in charge of marketing, bookings and international relations.
