- Soylar Candles began with a stay-at-home mother who wanted to leave a better planet for her two small children. Through the years, Irene Guoz saved all of the baby food jars she collected from her children when they were eating jar foods. She knew that the jars would be a great source for crafts, and especially for her love of scented soy candles. Soylar Candles was started by the need to do work at home and use the baby food jars she had collected. Her husband Jaime works outside the home, but is always there to lend a helping hand with the heavier projects.
