About Us
Kevin Roy grew up on a farm in Opelousas, La. where he majored in advertising at Louisiana State University. He worked for an ad agency in Texas where ironically he felt creatively oppressed. As luck would have it Kevin was laid off. He packed everything up and moved to Tacoma, Washington. Within a couple of days he was working as a waiter at Marzano's, one of the regions top restaurants. It was at Marzano's that Kevin introduced flavored oils. The basic recipe was one handed down from his mother, he added a little rosemary and toned down the hot peppers. Kevin began placing the bottled oil on the tables at Marzano’s and it seems that just about everybody wanted to buy the oils.
It was from this point that Sotto Voce became what it is now. Today, Sotto Voce products are sold throughout the United States to varying customers and restaurants. With production and the warehouse in Spanaway, WA; and the official Sotto Voce store in Pike Place Market which is located in downtown Seattle.
The full line of products has grown from Kevins olive oil to a large selection of oils, herbed vinegars, a house dressing, and our balsamic vinegar. All of our products are flavored, infused, and bottled by hand and given the same care that Kevins mom would have put into every bottle of olive oil she produced. It is of the utmost importance to Sotto Voce that the products that we provide bring enjoyment and conversation. With a selection of nine herbed vinegars, the Bayou House Dressing, our famous Balsamic Vinaigrette, and eight flavored olive oils we are sure that there is going to be something that will fit your needs and taste buds.
