Established originally as a vehicle to publish Sophie's World Boardgame, we have gone on to develop a series of Lord of the Rings games and a game based on The Hobbit. Collaborations with world class authors and illustrators have led to critically acclaimed works which have been commercially most successful. In addition to Tolkien related games, the company will publish this Autumn an Egyptian themed game in conjunction with the British Museum in London, and we have many new projects in the pipeline. Sophisticated Games has just relocated to new offices in Newnham in Cambridge. We are only a minute's walk from the scene in the photographs, in one of the most beautiful areas of Cambridge. The partnership that owns the company comprises Robert Hyde (Managing Director), Sophia Hyde (Financial Manager) and Ken Howard who has his own TV/Film production company in London, Landseer productions.
