FOUNDER
I'm Jim Gindin, a programmer living in Amherst, New Hampshire. I've always been fascinated with sports, and I've been designing games since I was old enough to roll dice. For a long time, I worked as a sportswriter, including six years part time at The Ann Arbor News while I went through college.
I had written a couple of games for a small hardware/software company on the Interact platform (a lot like the Commodore PET) while I was in high school. But back in the early 1980s, programming wasn't really seen as something people did for a living. That changed with the success of the IBM PCs.
Not too long after receiving a master's degree in journalism, I began to realize that the computer I had always seen as a hobby was providing many of my friends with a career. So I remained in school and added a computer science major to my undergraduate degree (you'll find anything's possible when you go back to the admissions office and actually read that huge college rules guide you tossed in the trash the first day of freshman year).
