- I'd been in contact via email with Ian Schray (who created this page) over the past week or so. Some of the thoughts for improvement I mentioned to him are:
* This a pretty decent page about the products, but doesn't really say much about the company. I like to think that the "AboutUs" page should include some info about the company, even if it's just a quick paragraph: "Founded in BLAH-BLAH-BLAH, Softpress has offices in YADA-YADA." (Maybe something on Intaglio too. Are there other products Softpress offers?) * Fuller product descriptions, probably including pricing, and a link to the respective product pages for more info. * Maybe in addition to the Pro v. Express list (which is a good start), there can be some sort of paragraph explaining which version suits what type of people or needs. The price difference between the two is so huge, I for one as a potential customer think for $90 download I might take a chance on the Express ('cause I really hate GoLive and have never fallen in love with Dreamweaver), but if that one feature I need is going to cost me $250 for the Pro, I'm more likely to want to play with Dreamweaver for the price, just because it's got the street cred. * On that note, maybe even a "why this is better than the competition" section wouldn't be a bad thing. Somewhere on the Softpress website I read one advantage was the "clean code" generation over other WYSIWYG editors that keep the old code. That was a serious sales point for me (although now I can't find where I read that). * Customer testimonials (if you have them). Even just a link to them on an external site goes a long ways.
- These were just my thoughts, but figured I'd let everyone see what I'd been thinking/mentioned to him as suggested edits. -- TakKendrick | talk
