When I was 17, I finished on the Sunshine Coast and headed off to Brisbane (Australia) to start a degree in Computer Science. 6 months in I was bored and decided to give Social Science a go. I loved it from the very first lecture because of that ‘human’ element to the studies and followed it to my first my job thousands of miles away in the UK – working for the charity Scope. But I watched as thousands of pounds were wasted on advertising, brochures, lunches and a huge CEO salary.
