Description
Small Open Boats, LLC was organized in January, 2003 to provide a unique facility and opportunity for the inexperienced boat builder as well as for the veteran. After an extensive search, we selected and began renovating and outfitting our present shop in historic Port Republic in June, 2003.
The difficulties of working on boat construction or repair at home or in a boatyard are eliminated in our facility. We provide indoor work space that is climate controlled and properly ventilated.
To provide a safe, clean comfortable workplace for both the amateur and experienced boat builder wishing to work on a boat building or repair project. We believe in keeping costs low but not by compromising safety or the comfort of working conditions. We support the economical use of materials and encourage the reuse of quality wood and hardware.
