SVG is beginning to hit the mainstream, with web browsers Opera, Firefox and other Mozilla derivates like SeaMonkey and Flock now supporting SVG natively. SVG Support for the Safari browser is in the works. The Adobe SVG Viewer plugin is available for most other browsers.
