What is SnowOhio?
SnowOhio is an organization focused on promoting snowboarding in the Ohio region by organizing events and competitions. It is also one of 30+ regions providing competitions sanctioned by the United States of America Snowboard Association.
USASA is the premier governing body for amateur snowboard competition in the United States. Through their efforts, boys and girls, men and woman of all ages are able to participate in competitive local snowboarding events and an annual national competition at the end of the season. All events promote fun, friendly competition, and the development of various snowboarding skills for all of our competitors, regardless of age, gender, race, creed or skill level. USASA also provides a number of scholarships every year to its members.
Riders earn points in the SnowOhio USASA sanctioned competitions that entitle them to local awards and invitations to the national competition. Events include freestyle, alpine and boardercross. Check their site at http://www.usasa.org for details on scholarships, Nationals and all things USASA.
