Wijnker DVM, on snakevenom, its components, the symptoms after being bitten, risk assessment and possible therapies after envenomation. Based on this research, the best existing first aid method is incorporated in the Snakebite Kit, combining an effective first aid method applicable for any snakebite with easy-to-use materials and a clear instruction. The development of the Snakebite Kit has been done in close cooperation with specialists on snakes and the Dutch Marine Corps and is based on current medical protocols and treatments.
