Spartanburg Methodist College (SMC) is one of the few colleges in the South devoted exclusively to the freshmen and sophomore years of college. In fact, we are the only independent residential two-year college in South Carolina and one of the few colleges of this type in the Southeast. This distinction makes us unique, and because we are unique, we take our mission seriously and keep the students best interest in the forefront of our planning.
