Slaton Insurance was founded in 1923 by George W. Slaton, who in the early 1920's traveled Florida as a special agent for Hurt and Quinn, Inc. of Atlanta, GA. Mr. Slaton decided to move to Florida in 1923 and establish the Slaton Agency in West Palm Beach. The agency name was changed to Slaton, Inc. after World War II when J.C. Slaton and George C. Slaton entered the family business. In May of 1988, James L. "Les" Breedlove purchased the agency in its entirety from George C.
