Description
I have been given a gift. I am an artist. Why me? I don't know. All I know is there is something different in me that sets me a part from others. I cannot explain it, but I know it’s there. It’s been an untapped talent for years, and I am ashamed that I haven’t exercised it or shared it any sooner. I begin my journey now.
1 Peter 4:10-11 says that we all have been given gifts and that we are to serve others with them so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. I pray that my artwork blesses and serves you in some way…may His love reach out and speak to you…may He be praised.
Several years ago, a friend of mine encouraged me to pursue career opportunities cultivating my artistic ability. She saw my talent, which I shrugged off as a simple hobby, and knew that I could do great things with my gift of creativity and drawing. So with consistent encouragement, I focused my attention on designing artwork for notecards. I had a serendipitous moment one evening and began drawing flowers with Christian symbols such as doves, crosses, ichthuses, and butterflies woven into each flower thus evolving into my first series: The Lullwater Collection. The theme of symbols carries throughout all of my drawings and series, as there is at least one if not several intricately woven in…some obvious…others subtle…
