Description

Skin Asylum (SA) was formed in 2004. As of right now it is a one man show headed up by me, Joe Dragt. I, like many others, started off young and dumb in the tattoo industry. Being uneducated in the tattoo world, I would stop by any ole shop that I came across, go inside and say I want this or that done. I did not care who did it or even bother to look at a portfolio none-the-less. Well, quit some years have passed now. I have a variety of tattoos on my body that I hate and love. Fortunately I have a talented tattoo artist now (Paolo from Divinity Tattoo in Scottsdale Arizona) that is doing some kick-ass work on me and will be able to cover all the shitty work up with some excellent work. Looking back now, I wish I knew what I know now.

Educate and inform the public on what standard items to look for when choosing a shop to get work done at and how to help pick an artist that is good for them.

Hopefully you will find this site to be very informative and useful. I will be improving this site constantly to help provide the best damn tattoo industry website around. I am always open to ideas. Should you have a good idea that would help improve SA, please email me let me know what's up.
