Description
St. Kitts is a 68 square mile island situated in the Caribbean. It is part of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis. The geographical location of the St. Kitts is 17.25º North and 62.5º West. It is one hour away from San Juan, Puerto Rico four and half hours from Toronto, Canada, four hours from New York, and eight hours from London, England. There are 2,662 hotel rooms presently being operated on the island.
St. Kitts has a properly regulated Citizenship by Investment Programme. This is provided for in the Citizenship Act 1984. Persons that make a minimum investment of US$250,000 in the island in an approved project will be entitled to apply for Citizenship in the Federation. There are proper due diligence checks during the processing of these applications.
There are many incentives provided to persons wishing to set up businesses in St. Kitts. Some of these incentives are found in the Fiscal Incentives Act, the Hotel Aids Ordinance.
