Description
From 1989 on he directed Computer Gaming World's production of the Game Center on Prodigy as well as the CGW Forum on Ziff-Net and CompuServe. In 1992 he scored another first with the launch of Kids & Computers magazine, the first magazine for parents dealing exclusively with children's software. In 1994 he supervised the development and launch of the Computer Gaming World Web site.
In 1993 he sold Computer Gaming World and Kids & Computers to Ziff-Davis Publishing. Until January 1995 he continued to run Computer Gaming World for Ziff-Davis. In 18 months, with the powerhouse resources of Ziff-Davis at his disposal, Sipe took Computer Gaming World from 75,000 to 145,000 circulation and from 800 ad pages per annum to 1800. By the year 2000 the magazine had a paid circulation in excess of 300,000. After Ziff-Davis moved Computer Gaming World to their Consumer Media Division headquarters in San Francisco, Sipe, as their Director of New Business Development, consulted with Ziff-Davis Consumer Media Group on their World Wide Web business opportunities.
