- About Simpson Strong-Tie
- Simpson Strong-Tie Co. Inc. began manufacturing structural wood connectors in 1956. Simpson Strong-Tie entered the anchoring business in 1994 with the introduction of the Epoxy-Tie ® ET dual cartridge epoxy system. At this time the ET product was being manufactured by Ackerman-Johnson Fastening Systems of Addison, Illinois, a respected anchor manufacturer since 1902. Simpson purchased Ackerman-Johnson in 1995.
