Description
Simon Henderson graduated in Medicine and later carried out his Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Research at Oxford University, England. He completed his Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Rochester, New York. He has been in private practice Of Reproductive Endocrinology, Surgery and Infertility in San Francisco since 1980. Prior to this, he was on the full time staff faculty of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at University of California, San Francisco and is presently an Associate Clinical Professor teaching Fellows in Reproductive Endocrinology. He is internationally known for tubal microsurgery and conservative gynecological surgery as well as for advanced hysteroscopic, laparoscopic, and laser surgery. Dr. Henderson has also given many lectures and is the author of over 20 published scientific articles. He is a fellow and member or 18 medical and scientific societies including the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the Society for Advance Reproductive Technology.
He co-founded the San Francisco Center for Reproductive Medicine in 1991 and has been very active in performing IVF, GIFT, donor egg IVF, and IVF-ICSI on his patients since 1994. He also performs initial fertility evaluations, sperm donor inseminations, induction of ovulation, intrauterine examinations, and evaluation and treatment of patients with recurrent miscarriage, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, uterine abnormalities, and menopausal symptoms.
